Today’s vehicles require an engine oil that keeps pace with changing technical requirements and that ensures a higher performance and longer life span of the engine. Therefore Shell has developed the patented PurePlus technology. It is based on a completely new production process during which base oils, as an important component of engine oils, are produced out of natural gas with the help of the synthesis technology plus an innovate additive package.
