The history of the Firestone tyre brand dates back to the year 1900, when Harvey Samuel Firestone established a plant for the production of air-filled tyres in Akron, Ohio (USA). The Firestone company is considered a pioneer in the mass production of tyres. Since 1988, the company was rebranded as Bridgestone Firestone, LLC, and now belongs to the Japanese Bridgestone Tire Company group.
