Description

Active Corner Grip technology consists of an asymmetric tread with a high positive portion on the outer shoulder, as well as an asymmetric carcass with additional bead reinforcements on the inside. This combination allows optimal, even ground pressure when cornering, providing sporty dry-weather handling, as well as and maximum safety and aquaplaning resistance in wet conditions.

This tyre has emergency running properties and can only be used on cars with a functioning air pressure check.

Manufacturer information

EU Tyre Label

As of 01/11/2021, the European Tyre Labelling Regulation EU/1222/2009, (EU tyre label) applies. This regulation applies for all newly manufactured tyres as of CW27/2021.

The EU tyre label provides information about the criteria for fuel efficiency, wet grip and external rolling noise and is binding for all car, LGV and HGV tyres (classes C1, c2 and C3) within EU Member States.

The aim of the EU tyre label is to increase safety, environmental protection and efficiency of road traffic by promoting fuel-saving, safe and quiet tyres.

Alongside the EU tyre label, you should continue to consider the relevant tyre tests as an important factor in your decision to purchase, as the new EU tyre label tests only three important criteria. in this way, for example, the driving characteristic of summer tyres on a dry road is assessed just as little as the snow grip of winter tyres

Fuel efficiency

Fuel consumption is dependent upon the rolling resistance of the tyres, the vehicle itself, driving conditions and driving style. The measured rolling resistance (rolling resistance coefficient) of the tyre is categorised in classes A to E. (with the old label up to calss G)
Fitting a vehicle with class A tyres all round can lead to a reduction in fuel consumption of up to 7.5%* in comparison to the same vehicle with class E tyres all round. Commercial vehicles may have even greater reductions.

* if measured in accordance with the stated procedures in EU Regulation 2020/7400)

Wet grip

For wet grip, the so-called wet grip coefficient is calculated from the braking distance or maximum friction value between tyre and road surface in comparison to a reference tyre, and categorised in the classes "A" (shortest braking distance) to "E" (longest braking distance). (with the old label up to class G)
Please note that road safety is highly dependent upon individual driving style. Stopping distances must always be observed. To improve road grip in wet conditions, tyre pressure must be checked regularly.

External rolling noise

The external rolling noise value is specified in decibels. In addition, a classification of A, B or C is assigned, whereby "A" represents the quietest and "C" represents the loudest rolling noise. (With the old label, with classes 1, 2 and 3, "1" represents the quietest and "3" the loudest rolling noise.
The noise emission of a tyre has an effect upon the total noise of the vehicle and influences not only driving comfort, but also environmental noise pollution.
