Tyre variants within the Kenda product range:
- Clincher tyres
- Folding tyres
- Tubeless-ready tyres
Kenda offers the right tyres for every area of use: everyday clincher tyres, transportable folding tyres, and models that can be used without tubes all form part of the range.
With technologies such as the so-called K-Shield (a shielding protective layer made of ceramic particles and aramid fibres), Kenda is continually improving the puncture-resistance of its own products.
Bicycle tyres for every model and every area of use.
MTB riders enjoy the largest selection: Kenda offers 13 different MTB tyres within its range. Some models have already been on the market for several years, but even these are still being improved by the manufacturer. Here Kenda takes the latest developments and trends within the industry into account. And the manufacturer isn't happy to rest on its laurels when it comes to material selection either.
Newly trialled components provide more grip or better roll characteristics. A favourite of Kenda fans is the Karma K917 – an MTB tyre that delivers a solid performance in both a sport and a leisure context. The tyre is particularly robust and, thanks to its low tread, it has optimal grip on the most varied of surfaces.
Kenda also offers suitable tyres for other areas of use. The Commuter product line offers bicycle tyres for commuters and everyday riders, and are designed for long-term durability, various surfaces, and puncture protection. Because some commuters have to cover long distances, some of Kenda's Commuter tyres are also suitable for E-bikes.
In total, 8 of the manufacturer's tyre models are specifically designed for E-bikes, with these generally certified for speeds of up to 50 km/h. The properties of the bicycle tyres differ depending on the area of use. Here Kenda relies on continual performance optimisation. Many tyre models have been given a general overhaul and brought into line with modern standards, making them tubeless-ready, in addition to other adjustments.
For example, for special terrain, Kenda offers ""studded tyres"" – tyres with spikes. This means you can also ride on snow and ice, however, caution is required: these tyres are prohibited in German as they cause road wear. As such, they can only be used when touring neighbouring countries where their use is permitted.
The manufacturer's product range also includes a small, yet accomplished range of Cyclocross and gravel tyres. The tyre width is generally between 28 and 42 mm. Cyclocross riders also require tyres that can handle even the most challenging of weather conditions and are suitable for off-road use. These tyres can also be a good option for commuters and everyday riders, as they can be used almost all-year-round and on varied terrain.
Conclusion: Kenda tyres impress with versatility
Individual requirements can be taken into account when purchasing Kenda tyres. The manufacturer's product range offers a sufficient selection for the most varied of applications, without becoming over-cluttered. Those who are aware of their own requirements with regard to roll resistance, grip, and tread, will find suitable tyres here, offering the best value for money. Kenda is also continuously developing its products and is not happy to drift along on the basis of its current status. The manufacturer makes use of customer feedback and the expertise of athletes with a view to continually improving the ride experience.
