Riken tyres
Riken was founded in 1917 in Japan, as a chemical plant, and since 1979 has been exporting tyres to Europe and the USA. It was only in 1992 that Michelin acquired Riken, thus enabling the worldwide distribution of this brand. First and foremost, Riken Tyres produces affordable tyres for cars and lightweight trucks. Although Riken is now part of Michelin, this was not always the case.
Over the years, and with the rise of the car as a means of transport, the company has specialised in tyre manufacture. Today, Michelin serves as a guarantee of the quality and innovation behind Riken.
